Volcanoes can be found in several forms throughout their lifetime. An active volcano may change phase to be half active, resting, before finally becoming inactive or dead. But volcanoes are able to rest for a very long time, more than thousands of years before turning into active again.
Volcanic eruptions occur when magma rises across the earth’s crust and rises above the surface. When a volcano erupts, the magma contained in the magma chamber below the volcano erupts out as lava, where this lava can turn into lava after flowing and mixing with materials on the earth’s surface. Apart from lava flows, the devastation caused by volcanic eruptions.
Volcanoes differ in their level of activity. Some volcanoes can erupt several times a year, but some only erupt once every tens of thousands of years. Volcanoes can be informally classified as active, dormant, or dead, although the boundaries of this classification are not very clear

Types of Mountains
Mountains are a form of land surface that is located much higher than the lands in the surrounding area. They are generally bigger than hills, but a hill in one place may be higher than a so-called mountain in another. Mountains generally have steep and sharp slopes or can also be surrounded by peaks or mountains. At some heights mountains can have two or more different climates, types of plants, and life.
There are three main types of mountains. Volcanoes, fold mountains, and fault mountains. All three types are formed from plate tectonics when parts of the Earth’s crust move, collapse and sink. Endogenous forces, uplifting isotation and magma intrusion lift rock layers up and form a plateau that is higher than the surrounding plain. The height of this lift forms a hill, if the hill is higher and steeper then a mountain is formed. The highest mountain on Earth is Mount Everest in the Himalayas, Asia, whose peak reaches a height of 8850 m (29035 ft) above mean sea level.
